The vast majority of families in America cannot afford quality child care.

An issue that is only exacerbated by our country’s lack of uniform paid family leave.
Every child deserves the opportunity to excel, and the current system penalizes low- and middle-income families who are so stretched thin by the cost of child care they cannot make ends meet.
In addition, investing in the child care workforce is integral to reforming our broken child care system. Fifteen percent of workers live in poverty; this is unacceptable for the duty they perform of setting our children up for success.
Child care reform is long overdue — tell Congress that you demand comprehensive legislation that incorporates ALL of the following policy changes:
- Create an option for parents to be able to stay at home with newborns, newly adopted children, or new foster children.
- Relief for low- and middle-income families who bear the cost burden of early child care and education.
- Improve quality of child care by investing in the early care and education workforce.
Comprehensive child care is a human right. Demand your representatives take action immediately.
