moving into year 9, i must choose two electives. ive currently chosen istem and commerce.
lately i've found a larger interest towards art whether it was perspective or anatomy rather than simply doodling. i was told that we were able to change our choice and this kinda hit a nerve. i started to second guess myself.
i chose commerce because i believe that i may find an interest in it and it will benefit my future. if not, i'll just continue and not choose any connecting subjcets for my hsc or choose a subject that i had been good at.
on the other hand, art seems very interesting and the areas that would be presented (sculpting, painting, etc) also seem to be so. although i sometimes struggle understanding theory, as my interpretations personally come off as "simple", and my practical iq isnt the best, its fun. however, my concern is whether i'd see art in my future. i understand there i will have 2 years to improve but what if i dont? what if my grades heavily drop? also, will i be doing this in my hsc?
can someone help me come to decision without being biased?
