The quote is: “those teachers who are students of their own impact are the teachers who are the most influential in raising students’ achievement.” -John A.C. Hattie
I was eavesdropping and didn’t want to butt into the conversation. But my head almost exploded. Seemed like a simple quote until I overhead that discussion.
My questions:
In what ways does a teacher exhibit that he/she is a “student of their own impact”?
How does each way specifically increase student achievement?
How is student achievement defined in the quote?
Pedagogy talk makes teaching seem way more complicated than it should be.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
