I wrote my personal statement myself and it was way over the character limit so I asked chatgpt to make it more concise. I pulled up both versions and typed out a new draft combining my own work and then the enhanced version. The content is all mine just a bit refined by AI, I'm wondering if I'll be flagged for AI when I redid it again using combined versions and if they'll accuse me of not writing it??? Do I risk being rejected?????

Any ideas for a school program?

I'm running for a student president this year and am looking for some ideas on school improvement. It is important to say that my school really struggles with student participation, because the majority of studens spend all the time by dull sitting and being on their phones with zero interest in basically anything. I would be happy to organize few projects that would help the overall atmosphere and improve the communication. I think there are plenty ways to achieve that and I have few ideas in my head, but would be really happy if you shared any other ideas and perhaps experience/advice if you know more than me. Thank you!

Teacher Peer Observations

My county and my sister-in-law’s county in Ohio are in integrating peer observations to help us better our craft. We were told that Our goal must align with one of four strategies that they’ve given us. I chosen engagement, but I think we can all agree that cell phones, disruptions, and standardized testing are what’s hurting engagement and not teachers. At any rate, I am being once again removed from my students to go watch another teacher so I can learn how to do my job. I’ve been doing this for 19 years, and I feel like I am self-aware enough to know what it is that I can improve on. I spent my summer taking classes in modern classroom because it’s what I believe is best for my students. Perhaps you can tell that this idea is making me feel more resentful. I feel like teachers are being blamed for all of the problems in this crumbling educational system in the country. My question is, other counties doing this across the United States?, And does it serve any other purpose than having administration and the state try to fix the system by blaming us and fixing us?

Hace un tiempo como 2 años, me he estado replanteando si vale la pena seguir estudiando si siempre que me enfoco en una cosa para realmente sacarle provecho y que me apasiona (que en este caso es la musica) viene el colegio y me quita todo el tiempo y las ganas de esforzarme en lo que quiero, hable con mis padres y mi abuela sobre esto, mi abuela me apoyo y mi madre dijo que deberia seguir estudiando, cabe recalcar que no supo sobre que hago musica o quizas le he dicho y no le intereso del todo, mi padre me dijo que siempre y cuando este enfocado esta bien, pero se que hay una respuesta aun mas coherente y quiero profundizar mas en este tema, ya que la mayoria de personas dicen que sin el colegio no se puede vivir una vida estable cuando es todo lo contrario desde mi punto de vista, la musica siempre me ha apasionado y ha sido un sueño para mi, y ahora que lo estoy logrando lo quiero cumplir, que opinan?

Need Advice: Moving Across the Country with a High School Junior Who Has Special Needs

I’m reaching out for advice on behalf of a friend. They have a son who is a junior in high school and has special needs. The family is in conflict because one parent wants to move from Tennessee back home to Oregon, where they are originally from. However, they’re worried about how disruptive this move could be for their son, especially given his education and support system. The child has been in the school system in TN for 12 years and work very well with him. They’re considering pulling him out of school entirely, but aren’t sure what the legal or educational options are.

Specifically, we’re trying to find out: • Are there any exemptions in Tennessee or Oregon that would allow a child with special needs to not finish high school? • What are the alternative education paths or diplomas available for students with special needs in either of these states? • Has anyone navigated a situation where moving affected a child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) or special education services?

Both parents have full-time jobs and are super stressed out about researching and don’t know what to do. Any help would be very much appreciated — Thank you in advance.
