After-school education. Any takers?

To preface, I am not an American. In my country, most high school students are involved in some form of after-school education (tutoring, online courses). I am curious to know how common is this for American students? I think this could be a cultural thing whether or not students feel the need to learn beyond school work.

Can a school enforce this dress code for pe?

Like me my younger cousin has a massive disliking for wearing shorts. He's a very active boy, but really does not like the way it feels. He's 14 and recently moved to a new school. He had some friends in this school before moving so he's settling in well.

He went to his pe class in his usual jogging bottoms and school uniform pe shirt (the school issued shorts with the uniform but they are just generic black with no school branding) and was given a warning note for this and told he had to go to isolation for the lesson for not wearing the right uniform.

He does jujitsu and has since he was little and has many many sets of rashguard tights he trains in as again hates shorts. So I suggested he wear them under the shorts as he would when he goes to jujitsu. He had a old black pair and took them to school.

He left the changing room and his teacher told him he needed to take them off. So he hasn't participated in pe since he started the school.

Options are coming up and he does really want to take pe. He's a very active young man who does well in school and he wants to go onto study sport science when he's old enough. He's already decided his a levels and pe would be one of them.

Does anyone have any advice on how the school can be challenged? He wore completely appropriate clothing for participating in the pe class and his teachers are being awkward.

Does University have rights on to demanding what should I have on my personal laptop?

This is not a serious question, however, it still bothers me on a minor level. I signed some papers for my University regarding the tech, including laptops. There it was said that I am not allowed to have any video games; I remember that well because it made me smile back then. However, right now, I can’t remember whether they were talking about their laptops or my personal laptop, that I might have to use for the course. In my previous schools, students would get laptops from school for the most of the years except for the last high school years. So, I can’t be 100% sure on what is happening with the uni. It is just going to feel bad to delete all gamesz It is a silly problem indeed.

Can I still graduate.

I’m only 20 and I turn 21 in November. I have about the credits of a junior or around there. I was doing online at home through odyssey ware. Then the school laptop got stolen, so I just gave up and have been working a restaurant job ever since. I really feel like i have the potential to finish now though. Back when I was younger I was always the class clown and came from a rough back ground and never had the chance to reach my full potential I feel like.

I feel like cursing is just spitting out harmless words and its unfair that we are taught that they are bad and we need to watch our mouths. I am spending my time teaching kids the right place and time where they can curse and make america what it means, a free country.
