My daughter has read 2 books for the AR program. The librarian at her school did not allow her to quiz for the first book because it was part of some sort of sixth grade curriculum and she's in fifth grade and the second book she read and quizzed on did not count because she had already reached her point goal.
Does this make sense? Is this common practice? Should I approach the school about this? Isn't the idea of AR to motivate children to read?
