I'll preface this by saying that I've never visited this sub before and only hope that this post is appropriate here. If there is a better place for me to try to discuss this issue, then I'd appreciate that info.
The issue: My school cafeteria this year has started to serve pizza on a daily basis. Most of the kids now only go through the pizza line and the other menu options are almost completely ignored. I've always eaten the cafeteria food, but due to almost no students eating the other available options, the cafeteria has stopped making most of the menu and is now primarily producing and selling pizza on a daily basis.
Also, at breakfast the left over pizza from the day before is available for purchase and almost all the same kids who ate pizza for lunch the day before are eating it again for breakfast and will do so again for lunch.
Most of these kids are on free and reduced lunches. The cafeteria lets them through the lunch line with a slice of pizza, a chocolate milk, and a juice. No fruit or veggies.
What can I do to fix this? I've already talked to my administration and they could care less. I could alert certain parents in the PTA, but that could potentially backlash on me.
Preferably, I'd like to report the issue to some sort of governing agency that could fix it. I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts about what I could do to fix this situation.
