What Is The Right State Of Mind When Learning Something You Paid For?

Hello, I am just starting to improve my math grades and I'm doing that through a program I have paid for. However, it's pretty hard mentally to do all the work and study so much and I think I might have the wrong set of mind for it.

Obviously if I paid for it, the fear of failing and having to pay again to do it should motivate me, right? But that's not the case.

So basically I was wondering what would be the best state of mind or way of thinking when putting so much hard work into something that you do out of necessity rather than enjoyment.
