French system to UK based sixth form college.

I'm 17 and left highschool a year early due to some unfortunate circumstances. I used to attend a French institution and i've decided to enter a sixth form college to get my A levels.

However most colleges requires me to have my O levels, I've been educated in the French system and have only received my "Diplôme national du Brevet" with rather good grades and my IELTS with 7.5/9.

My question, is the "Brevet" the equivalence of the O levels?
