As someone in education i hold myself to a certain standard

So I was appalled recently came across this post on another subreddit: https://imgur.com/a/Nz7aowQ#ElZrPB2

As someone who just started working in an educator role I feel like my relationship to my students is a special one. I teach populations that are historically extremely vulnerable and feel like I should live up to the trust that my students place in me as a source of knowledge.

I'm just wondering how someone gets to a place like the poster I mentioned. Why teach if you obviously have some baseline disdain for the people you're obligated to? Has anyone here had any colleagues that can't stand the people they teach? If so, how do I avoid becoming so jaded and hateful as my career progresses?
