Looking for teenager friendly versions of Pedagogy of the Oppressed

I'm currently planning an English/language arts unit on Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass for 11th graders, and I was inspired to bring in Paulo Freire's concept of conscientization as a "blueprint" for Douglass' text. However, everything I've been able to find online is either overly jargon-y or doesn't look credible. If you know of a book, article, or video that explains conscientization (or similar concept) in a teenager friendly way, please let me know! Thanks!
