I have an associate's degree in paralegal studies, which I earned in 2013, and for which I took out a federal loan. The job market is so, ridiculously over-saturated that I've only been able to work part-time, and still have not been able to pay off that loan (to my despair, I've had to go into forbearance several times, but I haven't defaulted).
I don't know how realistic this sounds, but someone recently told me that I'm an exceptional writer, and I've found that would LOVE to become an editor and do freelance work, or work for an editing company. In any case, I want out of the legal field, having worked in civil litigation for seven years now and realizing how much I despise it. Opinions?
