Educators: which students do you anticipate will have the hardest time returning to the classroom after quarantine?

Our district is trying to identify student populations that may be most at-risk/will have the hardest time readjusting to the new school landscape in the fall in a COVID-19 world. Our students haven’t been to school since March and it’s not a guarantee we’ll be back in the fall just yet.

We are trying to develop resources over the summer to support the transition back. For example we are thinking about students with ASD who might benefit from visuals supports, those with anxiety who might want a special orientation to the new building features (plexiglass, people in masks, new seating), etc. Trying to brainstorm any less obvious needs that we can anticipate and support.
