A male and female teacher in each elementary classroom

Mothers and fathers have different innate/biological strengths in addressing the needs and development of their children (e.g., affection vs. rough play).

Why then do we design the majority of every child's waking hours to be exclusively occupied by women? Economics. For 200 years, schools have been designed as factories because it's cheaper than taking design cues from nature. But the results are middling, just as they are for single-parent households.

I submit that if we truly want well-rounded, world-ready kids, we need to harness the complementary nature of mothers and fathers by placing them both in the classroom. It's time we make the classroom more like the nuclear family instead of treating it like a factory.
