Graduate Level Philosophy Reading Group Online Best Practices?

Do you have expertise in running a reading group online?

I’m looking for resources on best practices or outcomes with regards to: -group size -size of reading -frequency of reading -organizing of curriculum -frequency of video chats -using online text-based dialogue to supplement video chats -keeping things on topic (more important with video than text-based) -making sure everyone has space to speak -maintaining resource database, both of primary and alternative texts, but also notes or papers and ephemera generated by group discussions.

-homework? (this is a voluntary group, so the ‘homework’ needs to feel like it has a purpose, and contributes to the individual’s learning and the group as a whole, but this is just a ?, and not a necessity, open to interesting ideas)

Additional notes: -there will be a primary set of texts and supplementary/alternative texts (that not everyone is expected to read because one or two people have agreed to read and summarize) -will be using a sub-reddit to host the text-based discussion -will be focusing on a single author (Jacques Rancière) for the primary text, and either contrasting writing or derivative/supportive writing (e.g. Rancière studies under Althusser but broke from him; de Certeau could be seen as supportive thought, and Isabell Lorey’s writing in precarity could be seen as somewhat derived from or with help from Rancière).
