Any teachers being required to teach from their classrooms while students are remote?

This is my district's current plan. We are expected/required to be in our classrooms wearing masks while we conduct synchronous remote learning. The rationale on offer is that this will enable us to collaborate with peers, have access to physical resources, and receive quicker IT support. Notably absent is any claim that this will be more effective than teaching from home. We just submitted our letters to the Board asking that we be allowed to teach from home for a wide variety of reasons. I'm curious to hear whether any other districts are going to follow this plan and what your opinion of it is.
