I just started using "LaunchPad" for one of my college classes and I'm unsure about how the grading works; my professor doesn't know much about the software either.
On LaunchPad there are assignments, once you complete the assignment and earn the total number of required points the assignment is considered complete; now the thing is, is that you can keep answering questions until you have reached the target score, upon doing so you receive a grade of 100% in the "grade book" tab on LaunchPad.
However there is also a "student study plan" which divides the assignments into separate modules and shows you how you're performing in each chapter.
In my particular case I got 100% without losing any points and upon completion I was given a prompt to continue answering questions in order to study and it won't affect my grade. I did this and answered some questions incorrectly in order to see what would happen and after doing so I noticed that my grade dropped from 100% to 79% on my "study plan" yet I still have 100% in the grade book.
Does the grade in the "study plan" mean anything other than a guide to how I'm performing? Will it impact my grade at all?
And if that is the case then couldn't every student easily get an A in the class by just completing enough work to the point they have a grade of 100% seeing as the layout requires you to answer questions until you have 100% and then continue onto the next module?
