Paid Sick Days for Teachers

Not a teacher, but I’m utterly curious about this topic as it relates to covid. Teachers are being put at great risk. This virus is a) highly contagious, b) likely to cause severe and long-lasting symptoms, and c) able to reinfect someone who has already had it.

I know many teachers are only given around 12 sick days for the entire year, give or take. And that would not just be for covid, which can last months, but for other illnesses.

What’s your plan in terms of this if you do get coronavirus?
