Teachers can be very disrespectful

So when I went to school I treated teachers with respect unless they consistently raised they're voice and constantly acted like they were better than me. My whole childhood all I wanted was respect, dignity, and to be treated as an adult. My question is do y'all think teachers should be allowed to disrespect kids and expect respect?
