Bit of background. I work as an administrator in an Early Years setting (UK). We have recently had a parent make some outlandish complaints about one of our teachers, as such an internal investigation has started.
Senior Leadership has all agreed that in the meantime it's for the best that they go to another setting, so that the child can still attend a school whilst the investigation goes on. This would mean transfering the funding from us to another setting (one of the parents choice). Head teacher and assistant head agreed to this alongside the head of finance.
The parent in question has then asked to transfer the funding from our setting to another setting a few days ago. To which I agreed on behalf of our setting but said "due to the investigation, everything will have to be confirmed via email externally to the admin team". I made no other comment.
The headteacher has since rejected this and claimed I should have never "promised the parent their funding". Despite us having agreed it the day before. The headteacher has since tried to tell me off in front of colleagues, to which I repeatedly said "I have done nothing wrong".
Maybe I'm wrong but I cannot see how?
TLDR: Parent wants funding for another setting, HT agreed. Then when parent asked me HT then told me not to offer it to them and since berated in front of colleagues.
