Last year, the local congress at the northern state of Mexico, Chihuahua, approved a bill that will provide a religious association name Vifac (Family and Life in the Spanish acronym) with enough budget so they could bring their sexual education programs to kids from schools all around the state. It is known in the country that Vifac —a far right, pro life, conservative association— uses teaching arguments based on judgemental attitudes towards young women who have sex. Chihuahua is one of the mexican states with the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the country. Does this kind of education could help to solve this problem? I’m skeptical.
Any scientific papers you could share so that I could teach myself?
