(Freshmen in high school that’s going to summer school) If I ditched gym class, can they hold me back?

So basically, I got into summer school for failing English class. On my program card, gym was also there because I failed once? (I also failed math once but that’s now there). Now, I have English first and then gym, both classes lasts for 90 minutes. I would really like to go home after English class. If I were to do that, can they actually hold me back from graduating freshmen year? Is there some way I can talk into getting out of gym class?
