Is technology deskilling teachers?

I have seen a lot of post that have highlighting the use of technology in classrooms, and overall is redefining how and what teachers roles are in the classroom. With the rise of online curriculum's, I have noticed that teachers are becoming a lot less responsible for teaching students knowledge, but more as facilitators on how they view and acquire that knowledge.

So I guess my question is do teachers seem to be "deskilling" with the rise of technology use in classroom. I have always seen the argument play out in public education but curious to know if anyone has any experience with this transition with higher education.
