Recently we held leadership position election at our school for Grade 12 students to sign up and to maybe get elected as this role. In the leadership form we received, it states that each position must have a male and female student leader for this specific role, whether it be the Drama or Environment Leadership.
I recently applied for a role, me being the only male applied for it against five other females, and I anticipated the hard earning result of receiving the leadership of his chosen role. Surprisingly, I was not chosen, and two females rather were selected as the leadership role instead of the criteria. The same occurred with another leadership position where other acquaintances, three males, applied to be leadership, and two females were selected.
Is this sexist and unfair?
