School resource officer twice slams non-aggressive elementary child to the ground

I'm very careful about sharing stories like these because I recognize that there is sometimes more to the story that the district can't share due to confidentiality/privacy, but in this case, there's video of the assault and I cannot think of any circumstance that would justify it.

The child was not moving to harm self or others at the time of the assault. Even if the child was noncompliant or verbally aggressive in some way the video doesn't catch, there's no justification for physical intervention.

The officer twice lifted the child off the ground and pushed him down forcefully. Even if there were justification for physical intervention, I cannot think of a single circumstance in which that kind of behavior would be remotely acceptable.
