With the Covid-19 outbreak, most classes for universities/colleges are online now, which means all professors must run their classes online. Professors don't realize how much online affects students, without face to face classes it can be difficult to understand the class schedule, topics, and so on. My Politics professor assigned a discussion post 3 days ago, but never posted it on our class website.She just posted it today, a few hours before the deadline after multiple students emailed her about it missing. This assignment had to be completed before the deadline or we would've been dropped from the class.
My friends in other classes missed half an hour of lecture because the professor couldn't get on in time, or had problems with starting their zoom class. If I was at work (I worked at a coffee shop) and I couldn't figure out how to make an espresso because I can't figure out the machine, that's not ok. I still owe someone a coffee. Not knowing technology isn't any kind of excuse not to do your job. You have a job to do. Learn on your spare time, don't waste ours.
My mom is a professor so I know what professors have to do to run a course. If students have to make this sacrifice to have everything online, then professor need to do the same.
