What are innovate concepts for education?

I am currently participating in a contest Germany.

The goal is to develop innovative teaching concepts at a university (focus on student-teacher relation.

This could include for example:

• New infrastructure at the uni, new Equipment
• Better lectures through digitalisation
• Integration of research into the lecture

Especially the last, bold point is super interesting in my opinion. I am a biology student at a university myself. Right next to our campus, we have a research facility (focusing on biology). However, the theory-practice exchange rarely takes place. How can this be increased. And how can I ensure that this also leads to a better knowledge of the students?
