Can my teacher deny regrading my projectif I turn it in late? Please read post, situation hard to explain :/

So, I had to turn in a project last Wednesday. I turned it in, but got an F from it. Other students, who forgot to turn it in on Wednesday, got an extension until Monday. I emailed my teacher if I could still make some improvements on my projects until Monday and she said "no, you turned your project in and I graded it already. I will not grade it again". I find this stupid since some other students in my class got an extension until Monday so she has to grade some late projects anyway. What can I do? Can I do anything about it?
