I've got an assignment regarding designing Innovative practices for an opportunity space of my choice. So, I chose the initial integration ( onboarding ) of inexperienced and fresher teachers. I feel that there is a lack of communication and support provided to them in my current context. So, as a solution I came up with the idea ( innovative for this particular context ) to have 1 mentor teacher assigned to every early career teacher hired in the School. I think that 1v1 attention provides the support that young teachers require, be it dealing with stress, anxiety in their early integration or even with alloting time for lessons. I also thought about having a particular team of mentor teachers to give a structure and obligatory function in the school environment ie to make it a culture to help newcomers. Please tell me your insights, feedback or something that might be 'problematic' with the ideas. I'd really really appreciate your critique!! :)
