Navigating college path as an adult- testing out of classes- Qs

Hello all,

Wasn’t sure where to post this- My good friend is incredibly intelligent (IQ exam qualified her for Mensa). She took a semester of college at a 4 year university, wasn’t feeling very motivated, and dropped out.

8 years later, and she’s now thinking about getting her associates. She’s been in the working world and is someone who is always learning on her own, so we’re thinking that she may be able to test out of a lot of classes in order to get through school a bit faster.

There’s a lot of misinformation online regarding where, what, how to go this route with it also being legitimate and universally accepted.

Does anyone have any tips and ideas? She’s currently currently unemployed for an unknown period of time because of covid, so now would be the perfect time to get started.

Thanks in advance!!
