BLM related stories/reading practices for English language learning?

I have recently started teaching my mother English and I thought I would give her reading practices/worksheets that talk about racism, oppression against black people, injustice, slavery, etc. For example, when I was in middle school, I remember reading about Rosa Parks in English language class, who she was, what she has done, etc.

I live in a very white, small European country, where we’re not taught anything about slavery and the medias is..technically racist.

I’m trying to educate my mother on these topics and I’ve realised that arguing with her is not the way to go.

I’m trying to find something that I could use to teach her English, but all I have found were BLM related articles which are way too long and are way too difficult for her to read.

Does anybody know where I can find resources like this? Maybe some stuff about BLM for children? (Because those probably don’t have difficult wording)

I’m hoping that by learning this way, she’ll open up her mind a little more, because I think she doesn’t really take me seriously when I just go off on her for being racist. I’m trying to be a better ally, and along with that, I’m trying to make my mother an ally. Tough process, and I’d appreciate if someone could help me out on where to look for resources I can provide for her while she’s learning English.

Thank you in advance! :)
