American education

I am a Japanese high school student. And some, but not all, of the teachers around me seem to like the "American style" approach to teaching, such as focusing less on paper test scores and more on questions from students.

Of course, the way they think of "American style" may be a little different from the way education is actually conducted in the United States.

Do you think the American education is good?
