Going back to school years after high school

I want to go to pharmacy tech school which is a year and then work in a pharmacy and hopefully save up well and get my own place but want to go back to school after a while and be a x-ray or radiology tech. I was just wondering when you do something like that what the difference in the process then starting straight out of high school and do not they go back and look at your high school grades and SAT/ test scores
