I have a little bit of time before my boys are in school but I would like to figure out ways to try to set them up for success as good as I can.
We do not have the greatest education system in our city and the few that are ranked higher in the public education system have a ridiculous amount of people trying to get in, including people trying to get in from other school districts.
I don't know if we will be in a position to move or in a position to get them private education by the time they get going to school.
One thing I think about private schools too is that some of them may give a child a skewed sense of reality (financially and regarding demographics). They are also prohibitively expensive. I also don't know that I want my child exposed to religious curriculum and potentially some indoctrination before they are to a point where they can make that decision on their own.
I would like to teach them as much as I can at home about a wide variety of things, but I wanted some ideas of how best to help them if things don't work out that well to get them in better schools.
My wife and I have had some hard hits and have already been in our house a few years later than we intended. I want the best for my kids but I don't want to say that I can move them wherever will be best for them as that may not be something that I can do. One of the slightly better districts near me also comes with much higher property values as well.
Aby help would be appreciated
