Hey r/education, I hope this is an ok place to ask this and would appreciate being directed elsewhere if it's not. My amazing boyfriend (future Husband but not engaged yet) is going back to school after dropping out a few courses short of a degree almost a decade ago. He has chosen to completely start over and I know this is a really scary time for him, but I'm so proud of the choices he is making for both himself and the family we plan to have in the future. He will start in January and I want to give him a little gift to say I'm proud of him that also has some utility. I've thought of maybe a nice backpack so he doesn't have to borrow my girly purple one lol, but beyond that I'm kinda stuck on boring things like basic school supplies. I'm a nurse with a previous background in a STEM degree (went straight from that to RN school) and he is going to school for sports and event marketing so I'm worried the things I found super useful (fancy calculator, computer software programs, etc) may not be as necessary for him. Any ideas?? He is 29. Would like to stay under $100ish.
