In your opinion, what are some of the most important educational theories?

Hey guys, Just wanted to throw this out there and see what kind of responses I get and also see if there are any theories that may spark my interest.

I'm personally interested in Vygotsky and his theory of the ZPD, and I also think Dewy's ideas are very applicable to the classroom. I'm wondering if anyone has any other theorist that they'd recommend (and why?) Thanks for any input in this!
