Learning about everything

Hey everyone, I want to learn just a little bit about everything. I know this sounds crazy and is obviously a lot (it's everything!) but hear me out.

I feel like I don't know much about 99% of the different categories (even broadly speaking) of things that exist and would like to become more aware of different these things. For example, some of the topics might be sports, food, economics, politics etc. As learning everything is a monumental task, I would not want to go into any sort of depth in 99% of the topics, perhaps just the different categories of everything, such as a single sentence about each category explaining what it is.

I guess my thought process here is that I would like to have a very basic understanding of a bunch of things, then become more knowledgeable of some of those things, then even more knowledgeable about a couple those of things, and finally, be very knowledgeable about a few things. This way I have a sort of hierarchy of knowledge and can have a greater breadth on everything and be more well informed when deciding what things I decide to spend my time learning more.

Currently, I have found no books/resources pertaining to this, and even no books/resources pertaining to some of the categories that I would like to learn more about, such as computers and its different categories and subcategories. The best thing I have found so far is to look at universities course listings in which they categorized in some fashion and can be more deeply subcategorized as you select certain fields of study, and the coursework that goes along with that. However, I feel as if universities don't teach about some of the major topics in a particular field. In addition, this isn't laid out in a particularly intuitive way in which the reader can gain some sort of understanding as to what a certain topic pertains to- the only information that one can grasp at a quick glance is the name of the topic itself.

Any feedback is deeply appreciated. If you think I should be posting this in a different subreddit, let me know.
