What issues affecting young people are exasperated/caused by social media? How can education, specifically PSE (Personal and Social Education), tackle these issues?

I'm currently doing my dissertation on young people, social media and education. I would really appreciate your thoughts, opinions, and ideas. Any form of evidence, either statistical, from research papers, or purely your experience, would be greatly appreciated.
