Help with my high school situation

I am in grade 12, my last year of high school, and I'm having a bit of a crisis. From elementary school up to grade 8 i never took school very seriously. Grade 9 was when I added some self discipline to my life and started caring about school and grades. I went all the way up to grade 12 without having a plan for what to do with my future, though I have two ideas (start a business or get into psychology). I didn't discuss these things I want to do with a councilor and my courses now are what they are and I picked them based on what I thought was interesting rather than what I need for my educational path.

Here is my problem. I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how post secondary education works. I've got a couple of questions;

-Can someone direct me to some basic info on how the university/college thingy is structured?

-If I didn't take the right courses in high school, can I still get a career in psychology?

-Am I screwed for life by not picking the right courses early on?

-If I want to start a business, is post secondary education necessary?

-What limits are put on me by not going to post secondary(Financial rights, starting a business, etc)?

-Will I even be able to get into university if I had some bad grades and failed a course?

-Can it be too late to get a university/college education? Is university education only accessible to young students fresh out of high school or can you be older?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm trippin but I am just trying to do some future planning so I'm not miserable and regretful about it later in life.
