I am sorry for posting this in several subreddits don’t even give me karma I just want to be heard

I know very well the feelings people have towards the youth but This means so much to me

The reason I believe high school students have such a desire to act out is result of the school system.

At the age of 16-18most are:

Getting a license

Applying for jobs

In some states almost of age to get an apartment and drink

Can sign up to serve the country in battle

A person with all those opportunities and responsibilities still has to deal with:

A school staff demanding to be told when you are leaving to use the restroom even when a lesson or presentation is not taking place

putting up with a teacher threaten you for holding hands with someone you are in a serious relationship because “ It’s a display of affection “ * yes I am suggesting that some teenage relationships last because I have known quite a few happily married couples who met in high school *

Still not allowed to even CHOOSE what table you sit at or who you group with. I know some people abuse this power but do not punish everyone for the acts of a few

Your cat died? Grandma died? Basically anything in your life died and you need one day off? Just try and beg your parent’s to call in and try not to stress about the mountain of work that will be waiting for you after a single day.

I am so grateful that I have an easy access to education an education many would sacrifice a lot for. I love that school is a place where many can be helped.

But I REFUSE to believe our teachers can’t be paid more and I REFUSE to believe students can not get better treatment.

Please comment positive or negative I wish to hear your words. The words of teachers who worked so hard to get where they are. The words of tired studying students or perhaps the words of just a lonely passerby.
