Hey, I completed 3 and a half years of High School and had 35 credits during my senior year. A lot of stuff happened that cause me to be at risk of failing and I was transferred to another school to graduate on time but that school only made me uncomfortable and overall paranoid about going to school. My advisor in that school suggested to sign up at a school named "Penn Foster High School" and to get my diploma that way since I didn't need much credit left. So, I completed and received my diploma and was happy to start attending college expect when I tried applying to a CUNY college I was told that I need to get a GED or find some way to get an actual High School Diploma. I'm confused as hell right now because I thought I already had my High School Diploma but they're telling me to get a High School Diploma from an actual school? Like how would that work out if I completed school? I don't want to get a GED as I'm told by many people that it's horrible. I live in New York and never expected this outcome. So, I was wondering what's my current options? I'm 20 years old and I don't think I can attend a normal High School. I was told that maybe a Adult High School would be the better option.
