Is it too late to work hard half way through year 2 at university

I slacked a lot in the first semester of second year barely passing my grades

However this year accounts to 30% of my overall grade meaning 15% of my grade will be a 3rd

I would ideally like a 1st if I’m able to get my shit together. Is it too late to start working hard or have I missed out too much information
