Sixth Grade Social Studies EOGs (NC)

Dear All,

I am a former full time teacher current part time teacher assistant/curriculum developer for sixth grade social studies in North Carolina. I have an MA in history with a focus on ancient and especially Roman history, so I am doing a lot of development for our 6th grade SS curriculum.

A frustration most of us are probably familiar with: I cannot see the EOG assessment our students will be taking. I very explicitly do NOT want to "teach to the test" but I want our students to be well prepared when they take the assessment (we are a Title I, and have a large population of below grade level students).

Is there a good resource for looking at past 6th grade SS EOGs in NC and seeing what kinds of questions are going to be asked and how they will be phrased?
