Personally, I have been in a class of 10 (only one other girl in my class + 8 boys), which for some subjects meant only 3 people, in a pretty bad school. I’d say about 6/7 people in the class were regularly disruptive, yet I preferred it a million times over quiet, high-achieving classes of 28-36 that I’d been in in other schools. I feel that if I’d had that experience from the beginning I’d be much more confident than I am today.
It was largely because even though we weren’t all close friends, we definitely knew each other and there was a family atmosphere which meant we weren’t embarrassed to do presentations, or do those stupid assignments where we had to make up songs or raps, etc.
However I know that people say it prevents proper socialisation, means less opportunities, etc.
What’s your opinion?
