Should I be going into the field of education right now?

Since I was in third grade, I have wanted to be a teacher.

After years of working in ABA, saving, trying to figure out logistics, dealing with family illness, I applied and got into a 1-year special education preliminary credential program.

I am thrilled, but I'm a worrier. Is it the best time to go into education, when we're unsure if schools will be open come fall (California)? Will I graduate with no job next year?

I can't imagine passing up the opportunity I've been working and dreaming for, but what are your opinions?
