Hello everyone, I am designing a six-week course for high school students focused on design thinking, project development and management, and business design (biz model canvas and the likes).
This is the first prototype of what will eventually develop in a 6-month course.
The desired outcome of the course is not necessarily for the students to master these skills but become aware of different ways of working (solo or in teams), learning and developing their projects and ideas. The curriculum will rely heavily on practice based and peer-to-peer learning.I teach at an alternative business school in Denmark that I will use as a pedogeological backbone.
This is not the first time I work with stuff like this, but one of the challenges that I have previously encountered is to keep the students engaged beyond the "lesson", which will be once a week and about 2 hours long.
I have recently used Twitch as a platform for workshops and that worked great. I'd like something a little leaner and smartphone friendly, and that got me thinking about TikTok or similar platforms.
I'm reaching out to know if anybody has experience using these social media platforms to engage with the students or has any do's and don'ts that I should be aware of.Thank you for your time!!
