I graduated from college in 2018 and I am questioning careers. I have worked in marketing for 2 years and long for people interaction. I am STILL trying to figure out career stuff and my head is just spinning. I have two cousins who are school counselors and I’ve talked to them about it and they love it most days. Ive been thinking about possibly taking that career path honestly. I’ve talked to multiple past teachers of mine and they think I’d be good at it. They said the pay isn’t great but not bad and you have weeks off and summers and all, and you’re helping people daily. They said it’s very fulfilling. However, I’d need to go back to school and get a masters obviously and wouldn’t have teacher experience. So it’s hard to stomach 35,000 dollars and then also possibly struggling to find a job after and questionable pay depending on the district. Then I’ve thought about doing real estate and following my mom (she is a realtor) but that is also a tough business to be in, but if you’re good the money is good. But, a lot of people don’t make it! THEN, I’ve thought about sticking it out in marketing eventhough I don’t love it. OR I could try HR and see how that is because it’s still people involvement.
Anyway, I just wanted see y’all’s opinions!
Thanks in advance.
