Teachers & Parents, I need your help validating an idea...

In my opinion, the biggest opportunity for improving humanity is to seamlessly transfer knowledge from the oldest, wisest individuals (researchers, tenured professors, etc.) to the youngest, most ambitious students (gifted high schoolers, college students, etc.).

I want to build a platform that allows students to ask questions to experts in order to get them started on humanity's biggest problems.

Ideally, this would be a catalyst into a field that a. Has value to humanity (thus having high earning potential) and b. is already actively being investigated (job growth exists).

My question for you teachers & parents is: would you be willing to pay for a service that enables this on a per question or time basis? If so, what would it need to have? If not, why?
