Texas Teachers have been stripped of their voice and have been silenced with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and TEA commissioner Mike Morath's decision to open schools in August. Knowing the severity of this pandemic and the fact that Texas is now a hot-spot for this virus, they have given families the choice to send their kids to school or to keep them home. Despite the majority of teachers asking for the same choice, the deciding parties (Abbott & Morath) have refused to even consider or hear an argument on the matter. Everyone deserves the right to protect themselves and their families from this virus. Below is a link to sign a petition that is simply asking to give teachers a CHOICE!
