I haven't been to a school in a long time. I'm curious what may have changed in the past decade or so.
If you have worked or went through a low-income school, you understand the meaning behind the question. If something is desirable, even a key-based or combination lock is not completely secure. It's not possible to depend on security cameras, considering there have been cases of people outside of the school enter, wearing a mask and targeting that specific students locker.
Yes, this is a police matter. Yes, nothing will ever be completely secure. Yes, in many schools a student is more likely to break or lose their own device, than it getting stolen. Yet, there should be someway to provide confidence to students and parents that they can take their expensive laptops & tablets into schools if used for learning.
There might be nothing new other than a key-based or combination lock, but I am curious if anyone has seen or thought of creative solutions to this problem.
